ABC Wednesday - R is for Red

or Rojo (Spanish), Rouge (French), Rot (German), Rood (Dutch), Rosso (Italian).

Here we have the (Red) Summer Tanager.
He was successful at getting suet from the feeder.  It was and interesting venture, though, and fun to watch!  :-)  This photo was taken May 9, 2015.

While this photo was taken almost one year earlier to the date!

I love to watch birds with their head cocked when they discover something interesting. Nice photo.

Absolutely wonderful sighting and photos. We had one summer female at our feeder maybe five years ago. They are obviously rare here and that male is stunning....:)

Thank you for your comments. This fellow was a "regular" for a few weeks, but has disappeared. I'm left wondering not only where he/she went but where they might have been nesting. :-)
