Too bad you couldn't sample! ;-)

Hi Gail, It's delicious and I've made many, many gallons lately! The apples were free and that's even nicer!

Kylee, I did add a little cinnamon, but not enough to color the sauce. These apples were allowed to grow "gracefully and naturally" ;-) (as in most backyards), so all it takes is a little washing, quartering, coring and cooking. 24 apples plus 1/2 cup sugar and a little cinnamon (when I remember!) makes about 3 quarts of applesauce. My food mill makes it so I don't have to peel! (That's what makes the color).

Frances, This has been a super blessing! I've frozen a LOT of sauce, given away a LOT of sauce and have been baking as well!

flydragon, :-) It'll taste even better this Winter!Shady Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05007816271406393818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7265980198981273900.post-33392263319841754152008-10-30T07:31:00.000-05:002008-10-30T07:31:00.000-05:00Mmmm, Mmmmm, good!!Mmmm, Mmmmm, good!!flydragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10561665960229511333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7265980198981273900.post-14916635208001373802008-10-30T05:08:00.000-05:002008-10-30T05:08:00.000-05:00Hi Shady, good job on making all of us hungry!Fran...Hi Shady, good job on making all of us hungry!

Frances
http://fairegarden.wordpress.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7265980198981273900.post-76819135949896531772008-10-29T23:22:00.000-05:002008-10-29T23:22:00.000-05:00Yummy!
