It will be fun to watch Mattie next year! My aunt has been good for the community and her long-time friends of the community are very good to her. :-)Shady Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05007816271406393818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7265980198981273900.post-59409069712520320402009-08-21T21:56:39.781-05:002009-08-21T21:56:39.781-05:00I'll have to show this one to my husband. Par...I'll have to show this one to my husband. Part of his resistance to expanding the flower planting area has been because he doesn't know if I'll be able to keep up the gardening when I get older. There is a lady in our town who is almost 90, and she is a master gardener, very active in her gardens and the community. She can't bend over anymore, and does a lot of gardening sitting down. She answers the phone and takes a few flowers for the panel to show on a local program called Backyard Farmer. I've considered her a role model, and used her example, telling my husband I'll always want to garden.

Your aunt is a good role model, and you both have niceness in common as well as the other things you mentioned. I love her list of lilies and other flowers. That Mattie phlox has a little differently shaped petals it looks like. It's pretty, as are the other blooms.

It also sounds like your aunt has fun in the community.Corner Gardener Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10631500918579405664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7265980198981273900.post-59084148589182499322009-08-21T16:59:39.162-05:002009-08-21T16:59:39.162-05:00MMD, Talking about garden tours.
