First Snow
Snow makes whiteness where it falls.
The bushes look like popcorn balls.
and places where I always play,
Look like somewhere else today.

That's a great choice Shady Gardener!! So true...
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of this short but true poem!
ReplyDeleteI just love snow and I'm still waiting for more than a flurry. This poem is nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Shady,
ReplyDeleteNow is the season for the snowy remains of the garden, eh? That's a fun poem too, and so true!
Looks like we're in for more of the white stuff on Wed...predicting 3-5 in. here and "locally heavy amounts" down more your way in the state. Stay warm, we're in for a cold rest of the week they say!
Hi Kathleen! We'll be outdoors playing again before we know it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Naturegirl. :-)
Lisa, You are a rare one... though I know what you mean about loving the snow!
IVG, Good to see you out and about! It'll be fun to see more snow tomorrow. Hope it falls in the ditches and not on the road. I have a busy day tomorrow! ;-)
Yup. I've got popcorn balls all over my hydrangeas today as well. Maybe I should put a movie in, get some pop and......
ReplyDeleteI've added your blog to my blog roll. I'm slowly recovering from my computer crash over the weekend and catching up on where I'd left off.
ReplyDeleteLater,
Cameron
Short and sweet! /Deb
ReplyDeletetroutbirder, We're in for about 5" of snow today... so a movie, popcorn & hot chocolate sound wonderful!! I even have knitting to do! (Christmas presents - don't tell anyone.) lol
ReplyDeleteCameron, Great, I'm honored to be on your blogroll. Computers! Can't live with them; can't live without them! ;-)
Deb, Short and sweet for certain! We're getting a lot of snow today. I was out this morning and drove about 40 mph all the way home. I'm staying "put" for the rest of the day! :-)
This poem always makes me hungry! Hello, winter. At least it looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteMMD, ha! :-) It does look pretty. Did you receive more snow today? We've received about 3-4" with the forecast for another 1-2" yet tonight. I leave for Omaha tomorrow! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Shady! I am way behind on visiting. Hello you! Love 'snow makes whiteness where it falls'.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow and popcorn ball bushes!

Hi Gail, always nice to have you visit. :-)
ReplyDeleteJingle bells, Santa smells... oh, wait no. I did write a song about hating buckthorn... maybe I'll post it next month!

TGF, It's really like another place today, out there where I like to play! ha. Plus it's very slick under all the snow we've received today. Guess I'll be indoors for a few days. :-)
