Something New...
Lady Sheila Ann Germaney Iris - new last Fall.
They're growing in the front yard, around my sister's tree.

Something Borrowed?
(Well, not really - these are new, too!)
Sweet little crocus;-)
How nice to see things growing in your yard now. Sure looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteShady Gardener,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the photo on your header! (And all your other photos too.) Haven't had much time to get around and see everyone else's blogs lately - obviously it's time I caught up.
I have some crocus just about ready to pop and a few grape hyacinths too.
Cathy
Good morning shady,
ReplyDeleteI see that while I was out of the garden that spring has completely arrived in yours. Don't you just love Virginia bluebells? I had some and then we plopped a very big boulder right on top of them, it was fall, they were hiding, ...I had the gardener's hope that they would find a way to the sun but that is not to be!
Have a wonderful day,
Gail
Happy Spring Day to you too!
ReplyDeleteEJ, Isn't it fun to have Spring arriving? I think of you so often - fondly! I so enjoy the cards you sent me... and so do others, because I'm sharing them with special people for special reasons. :-)
ReplyDeleteCathy, You are so complimentary. 3 cheers for early Spring flowers! :-)
Gail, can I send you a couple? (or perhaps seeds?)
Tina, Thanks for stopping.
Just an additional comment: Those little grape hyacinths are two different varieties! The top one is bi-colored. I didn't order them that way, but that's what I got. Pretty cute, though! :-)
ReplyDeleteShady - Loved the iris and blubells!
ReplyDeleteGreat little muscari, as well. Thanks for the taste of spring. Deb
What a great bunch of blue.
ReplyDeleteI just planted my first Virginia bluebells last fall. Yours are lovely. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll see some in my yard soon, too.
Deb, (Oh, I wonder if I should admit this! I ordered a few more muscari for this Fall, already!). :-)
ReplyDeleteJ, You will love your Virginia bluebells! I can hardly wait until mine grow and bloom! (I almost wrote bluem!) ha.
Your Mertensia & Muscari are way ahead of mine. That little iris is such a gem!
ReplyDeleteThanks MMD! You've had a longer stretch of snow than we did... however, check out the forecast! :-\
