Green Thumb Sunday

A Happy Sight

A sight to behold.

I do not know the name of this African Violet.
Would you like to help me name her?
I'd welcome your suggestion! :-)

  1. Yay ! You have no idea how long it took me to get through to your comments. I tried other of your blogs too, but none worked.

Anyway - I would name your African violet "Blush" because she does it so prettily.

Now, wasn't that worth the time it took? I think there was something else I wanted to say, but now I've forgotten.

  2. Sorry, I don't know. It is a pretty one. My little African Violet suffered a major set back when I overwatered it before going to Florida. It's sitting in the open air for a while now.

  3. Sorry :( Though I grow many African Violets, shame on me, I never keep the new tags. Whatever its name, it is a blushing beauty!

  5. Okay, I'm not very creative, but how about "Mommy's Rouge" Kind of looks like when a little girl gets into her mom's makeup. I know very corny :)
    I really love the coloring.

  7. Shady I worked as usual. Nothing special except that I was reminded of the annual local garden show which runs the first week of March. Of course I'll be going...can't wait.

  10. I've received some excellent suggestions for names for this violet. :-)

Bobbie, Indeed it was worth the wait (at least, it was worth it for me!) ;-) Sometimes when I'm working on a post, updating and or saving, I have troubles. I always wonder if someone is visiting me while I work?

MMD, I'm sorry about your violet. I would think it would snap out of it! I haven't visited you for a couple of days. I saw a post being created about a Florida trip, but when I went to view it - it wasn't there!

Joey, "Blushing Beauty" is a good suggestion, too! ;-)

Hi Cameron, I've been out of town for a couple of days... so I'm behind in my visiting!!

  11. Catherine, That's actually a cute idea. I should send you a leaf cutting!! :-)

Gardeness, Ah! The color is perfect. Thanks for your help!

Patsi, a Garden Show the first of March? That's really early - I'd have that on my calendar, too! ;-)

Hi Rosemary, Thanks for your suggestions. I've enjoyed printing some of your recipes lately!

Monica, Matilda? :-) Actually, it's a cute, old-fashioned name. Sometimes those first thoughts... lol.

  14. Kathleen, Thanks for visiting today! I'm going to have to get serious about naming her, aren't I? ;-)

Hi Kerri! Do you know what colors the blossoms should be on your plants? (I have absolutely no idea about how to make them bloom... they just do it all by themselves!) lol

  15. Oh, this is my very favorite kind of AV! My suggestion for a name is "Raspberry Ice."

  16. Kylee, I really like that name! How about "S. Blushing Raspberry Icie?"
