The Puzzled Centipede
A centipede was happy quite,
Until a frog in fun
Said, "Pray, which leg comes after which?"
This raised her mind to such a pitch,
she lay distracted in a ditch
considering how to run.

Happy Muse Day! Have a good one.
:-)
I love this funny little poem, and the video is a very creative touch :)
ReplyDeleteI won't be long now! My daffs and tulips are poking through and the tiny snowdrops have buds forming!
Happy Muse Day and happy March!
That should be 'it' won't be long now :)
ReplyDeleteClever poem to start off my day and month with a smile!
ReplyDeleteI read your previous post the other day but apparently forgot to leave a comment. Looks like you have lots of great plans for the upcoming season--let's hope March goes out like a "lamb" :)
Hi Shady, Good morning! We got a 'bit of snow' last night! You would laugh and laugh at the dusting!
ReplyDeleteI do like the poem, I agree with Rose..it is clever! My dear, I hope your day is delightful and that March is kind to us...That is my wish...a kinder and gentler March!
Gail
Hi Kerri, Thanks for being here so early this morning! :-) I made the rounds the other day and found the tips of just a couple of brave plants... altho' most of them are under leaf/mulch yet!
ReplyDeleteRose, Isn't it "In like a lion, out like a lamb?" Hmmm... wonder what the weather will bring these next couple of days?
Gail, Ah, yes. A kinder, gentler March. Thank you so much for your sweet thoughts. :-) Have a great day!
You always find good ones :) A great way to start the day on this 'so far' sunny day. Happy March!
ReplyDeleteHappy March Shady Gardener!! I'm so glad (like you) that it won't be long till we can be out digging again. hooray. Our March is coming in like a lamb ~ I hope that doesn't mean the opposite for the end of the month (when we really are in the mood for spring!)
ReplyDeleteYikes. Any critter that is bigger than a half inch is creepy. This centipede is creepy. :) The poem is cute. Here's to warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteGreat post SG. I hope the centipede got going again. tee hee.
ReplyDeleteHaha, love it. The video and poem, not the centipede:)
ReplyDeleteIn the middle of summer, it's hard to believe that we could be excited to see a centipede. (But we will be.) What a fun little poem!
ReplyDeleteI like this poem. Cute little centipede, soon we'll be seeing lots of these little guys!
ReplyDeleteJoey, Happy March to you, too! It Was a sunny day, today...in the 20's.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, You almost hate to talk about that little saying, don't you? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, we can look forward to Spring and "getting dirty!" :-)
Grace, You might notice that I didn't handle it!! ;-) But it did make a good video (with the little pill bugs). ha.
Lisa, :-)
flydragon, I understand! ha.
MMD, At this point in time, we're about ready for anything, aren't we! I just walked around the yard today, looking to see any signs of life. I really did find a couple of plant tips poking out of the ground... yea!
Catherine, I'm excited for Spring. I'm almost ready to be hauling a little more dirt, rocks, etc. As for centipedes... well... as long as I don't have to handle them... ;-) ha.
What a sweet and funny little poem. Thanks and Happy Muse Day.~~Dee
ReplyDeleteHi Dee, It was pretty silly, but I was in that kind of mood! ;-) Happy day!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, I found the video while "computer cleaning" and just had to use it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like your choice of verse for GBMD. What a dilemma for that poor little centipede :)
ReplyDeleteAnna, Can you imagine! And I wonder about the number of pairs of running shoes? ;-)
