A Couple More Daylilies

I inherited the following four daylilies, as did I inherit the Raised Bed Gardens in which they reside. They are all unnamed. But aren't they pretty? I compressed the photos, but they should be a bit larger than what you see here.

I posted photos of the following daylilies the other day. However, I couldn't resist showing them again. Notice the size of 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Madonna' as opposed to the small blossoms of 'Pardon Me' on the left of the first photo (which is also in the Front Sunny Bed).

'Pardon Me' 'Madonna'

  1. Aren't daylilies lovely flowers? I can't resist them.

Of the unnamed ones, the third one (shell pink with a yellow/green throat) looks like 'Catherine Woodbury.' One of my favorite pinks.

  2. Mouth watering! At one time I had the audacity to shun day lilies because I assumed they came in only two colors: yellow and salmon. Boy was I wrong! I want 'Pretty In Pink' and 'Madonna.' Not that I have room, mind you... How lucky to have inherited such nice plants.

  3. If there weren't literally thousands of registered Daylily cultivars, I'd suggest you look them up online. In any event, your mystery plants are lovely. I especially like the one on the top right, it has such a neat shape and coloring.

  4. Always enjoyed lilies.
I have starglazers and tiger lilies that handle part shade. Yay !

  5. How pretty. I have zero day lilies ~ I haven't ever gotten "into" them for some reason? but I enjoy seeing them especially the more unusual ones. You have some really nice ones. I like that dwarf butterfly bush too. I'm thinking that's what I should plant next time around instead of my huge ones. Hope you're having a good weekend?

  6. Hi Rhonda! Thank you for your visit and suggestion. I'm glad you're a daylily favor-er, too. :-)

Hi Grace, I know what you mean about needing to have room. I'm having to slow down a bit and think about where something new might go before I purchase it, these days.

Hi MMD, I know you're a fan of daylilies. These plants were pretty neglected by the time I moved here, so they're beginning to revive. They're also planted fairly close to each other. I look forward to their filling out and "holding hands." ;-)

    Patsi, "Yea!" for sure! :-)

Hi Kathleen, I'm very happy with my little butterfly bush. I've wanted a BB for years and was happy when the dwarf appeared, as that's all I can handle here. It would even do well in a large pot!

  7. Lilies are great. Around here they are easy to grow and they don't need allot of maintenance. And they come back every year with friends.
