Plant Involvement Last Week!

I visited my parents this past week! It was about time!
:-)

We had lots of adventures and interesting events.
However, last Tuesday I spent the day at my brother and sister-in-law's.
You might like to see a landscaping project now underway.

This is a new daylily (I couldn't resist just one more!)
by the name of 'Siloam Double Classic.'
I purchased it from a wonderful nursery nearby.

On the way home yesterday morning (Saturday, 9/26),
we stopped to see Aunt MEA.
Her Garden Club members were hosting a plant sale,
as well as coffee and rolls, etc.

I was delighted to find this Pasque Flower,
Pulsatilla rubra (red).
It now resides in the Raised Bed Gardens.

You'll probably see this photo again soon,
as I want to post on recent Garden Projects.
This hypertufa bowl is holding a 'Ginko Craig' hosta on the left,
an unnamed hosta on the right,
a couple of miniature sedum (also unnamed),
and some Hens and Chicks purchased at the plant sale!
Yes - I'm happy! :-)

  2. Gingko Craig is a nice hosta! I bought two of them two years ago and they look great. Their flowers are very nice too.

  8. Hi SG~~ If the real deal is anything like the photo, you're going to have one stunner of a daylily.

Always love a good plant sale. I look forward to more photos of the hypertufa. They're so much fun to work with, aren't they?

  9. Hi Cameron! I did have a great week - lots of fun. :-) And it was fun to pick up a couple of Great Plants!

Dave, Have you noticed that Ginko Craig makes "babies?" I've been able to divide it many times and both spread it around and share it! :-)

Rosemary - :-) Thanks for visiting!

Monica, Finding new plants was the "icing on the cake" when it came to enjoying a fun week!

Commonweeder - most definitely. We gardeners are definitely related! :-)

Gail, Was your daylily a new plant this year? We can both look forward to next year!! :-)

Hi Rosey Pollen, Have you been making some hypertufa? Have you posted about it???

Grace! Come on over... I'm still working with the hypertufa. ;-) Just one more project (have you heard that before?) ha.

  12. Oh, Joey. I don't know about you, but I am in denial (of sorts) that it will soon be October! Whew! ;-)

Deborah, Hypertufa is a lot of fun. I often have more ideas than time to do them, though. Does that ever happen to you??

Thank you for visiting today. I don't mean to make it hard for you to leave a message, but temporarily I am going to enable word verification. Too many spam messages to deal with lately. Thanks for your patience! SG
