So... What Do These Guys Know That I Don't?

I did look around, but I didn't see or hear a grasshopper...

  1. HA Ha! That's great! I see they are busy hoarding for winter. Busy little ants!

  3. What fun! I have made a few recordings, and someone recently told me how to post one, so I need to take the time to find the directions and try them.

You are the only one who noticed my new profile photo. My husband tried out a program called AKVIS Artwork. I didn't like the close ups he did because of the shading on my face. Yes, the butterfly was a gray hairstreak.

  4. Hi SG~~ Don't talk to me about ants! Grrrr... LOL For years I saw nary an ant anywhere indoors. The past few years I swear they're going to take over the world, or at least my house. Thankfully lately they've gone back into hiding offering what I know is a false sense of security, evil creatures. :]

Yours look like they're on speed. Maybe the sidewalk was hot to their little feetsies.

  5. I hate ants. They swarm all over the front walk & driveway, get all over my hands & arms when I dig in the beds. I'm embracing my inner grasshopper instead.

  7. Having fun with your video camera?
Ants are always in a hurry...never see them strolling around.

  8. Hi Rosey, They're even busier than I am right now. ;-)

Gail, Actually I had this set up to publish ahead of time. I visited my parents in Northern Iowa this last week. We had a great time!

Hi Sue, I take very short (around 20 seconds)videos for the blog. They load much sooner than long ones.

Hi Grace! I couldn't resist taking that video. There were more ants than I'd seen in a long time! (They were moving to a new home in one of my flower pots. I can hardly wait to disassemble it.) ha?

MMD, As long as they stay outdoors... and off me when I'm cleaning my solar lights. (They often make nests inside and cause malfunctions!)

Monica, I forgot to watch for tiny forks and spoons! ;-)

Hi Joey!! I'm so glad you're out and about. Thanks so much for your visit! ::-))

Patsi, I actually took this with my old camera. I wonder if I'd get a better video with my new one??

Happy Weekend, everyone. It's nice to be home. :-)

Thank you for visiting today. I don't mean to make it hard for you to leave a message, but temporarily I am going to enable word verification. Too many spam messages to deal with lately. Thanks for your patience! SG
