Sixteen Tables
Sixteen tables and sixty-four chairs...
add
a dozen booths and a baker's wares.
Enter some people, together or not...
add
conversation and drink...
and one with a thought.
'Tis a small simple verse,
this small simple verse -
Which,
when I arise...
gets put in the purse.

All this before getting the groceries one morning last week (while sitting at a table with a muffin, a cup of tea, a pencil and a scrap of paper)! Who says two weeks of overcast skies, and cold rainy weather isn't inspiring? ha! We've now had two great days in a row and we're looking forward to several more! Yea!
Shady,
ReplyDeleteYou are talented poetess. Lovely! I need a muffin, now.
Rosey
That was fun shady! I wish I could have a muffin with you~~coffee would be delicious, too! Enjoy the sunshine! gail
ReplyDeleteVery cute! From the dark rainy skies came the light of creativity. -Jackie
ReplyDeleteI like this Shady! Keep that pen and paper handy :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute poem. I'd say the rain was very inspiring for you :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rosey, Head on over! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGail, I agree. That would be fun! :-) I'm headed outdoors again tomorrow!!
Hi Jackie, A little silliness never hurt anyone. lol.
Hi Joey, I think that's what I need to do! Do you ever find the need for paper and Just Not Have any? You would be writing (creating?) recipes for us!!
Hi Catherine! Either inspiring for, or in spite of. Ha. :-)
P.S. Shady ~ this post hit my heart! I began writing poetry when I turned 50 (not even a huge fan of poetry but liking my own :) finding myself through the written word). 10 yrs later, I began my novel ... BEWARE ... writing becomes addictive :) Go for it, girl, and keep that paper handy!
ReplyDeleteHi Joey, Keep me posted, please!! Have you finished that novel?
