This is "N" beside a zinnia!
Have you ever seen one grow this tall?
Have you ever seen one grow this tall?
This plant is a relative of the celery plant.
Do you know what it is??
Do you know what it is??
Hey Frances! Look here... another hypertufa!
"N" attended our workshop this past Spring at my house. :-)
We need to get her set up with soil and plants...
perhaps Next Spring.
I'm going to schedule a post for Thanksgiving... otherwise, I won't be on-line until after my family goes home. At which point, I will be missing them sorely! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you're celebrating with family and/or friends and that you are able to enumerate many, many blessings for which you can be thankful! :-)
Isn't it fun having friends with the same interests? Makes getting together even more fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a great visit with your family!
Wow I have never seen a zinna that tall whatever is she feeding her plants?
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos.
That's a huge zinnia. Must be some really good soil.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy thanksgiving.
Never seen such tall zinnia! Interesting garden. I like the look of the retaining wall. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteShady, I hope N saved the seeds on that Zinnia! Have a wonderful holiday and we'll see you soon! Gail I am going to try the hypertufa this spring!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving. Please pass along to N that she's got one very cool Zinnia! :))
ReplyDeleteShady, have fun with your family!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how the world of blogging about gardening develops friendships across the miles--and even next door. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Reminds me of Portland where all the plants seem to grow taller and more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing Zinnia! I just wanted to let you know that I’ve given you the Beautiful Blog Award, you can visit my blog for details. Totally up to you if you want to participate or not, I understand completely if you don’t. Thanks for all of the info & inspiration you’ve provided me since I found your blog. :) Rebecca
ReplyDeleteHi, again...
ReplyDeleteI gave you an award over on my blog. Please stop by when you have a moment..
Sweet tour.
ReplyDeleteYes I've had zinnias up to 7 feet tall...there's all kinds.
Happy turkey day.
I enjoyed seeing N's garden. I think her relative of celery plant is lovage. I have some in my side yard. I normally deadhead it, but the last couple of years let some go to seed. I now have some young plants that I need to find another spot for. I think next year, I'll deadhead, even though I like the look and height of the seed heads.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
What a great new friend you have Shady. That zinnia is on steroids! Seriously. I've never seen one so tall. Very cool. It looks like "N" has a great garden. Thanks for the tour and Happy Thanksgiving with your family.
