I'll be a little quiet for the next couple of days or so... there's a post scheduled to appear Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend!
I've been watching these hyacinth bulbs Very Closely! :-)
Can you tell that Bulb #1 is beginning to bloom?

Want to take one more look at the hyacinth?
Mr. Shady's instructions? (Something I thought I'd never say. ha.)
"Don't go too near the kitchen sink!"
Lovely photos again Shady! Your house plants are all beautiful, they really cheer the Winter days. The Hyacinths are coming on so well and I swear I must have 'smellyputer' as the moment I scrolled down I could smell the lovely scent!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! It looks a bit chilly in your garden, our recent sprinkling didn't last long and although there was more forecast for today it didn't materialize.
Have a lovely (warm) weekend :)
Shady love all the flowers , how nice to have something flowering in the mid of winter. Hyacinths are a fav especially when the scent perfumes the whole house.....
ReplyDeleteHello again, Shysongbird! Thank you for visiting so soon. We are still in the thick of Winter, here. I don't expect much warming until sometime in March, but April often gives us a surprise snowfall (doesn't last long). ;-) May is usually a safe time to be planting outdoors, although I've been known to plant at the end of April.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary, It is wonderful to have a few blossoms at this time of year. The hyacinths offer the double-treat of good looks and great scent! :-)
Lovely flowers!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Valentine's weekend!
Cheers,
Cameron
Arent' hyacinths a joy to watch?
ReplyDeleteThe hyacinths are beautiful Shady Gardener ~ my favorite color too!!! I really do like the marbles in your vases. Very attractive. You definitely have a green, green, green thumb. All your plants do so well and I'm insanely jealous about the 3 new bloom stalks on your orchid. That is going to be fantastic when it blooms. Be sure and post lots of pictures! Have a great weekend as well and Happy Heart day to you!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I can practically smell them from here!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)
Very pretty! Perfect to show off for the upcoming bloggers bloom day! Happy Valentines, Shady - love the woodsy view out your windows.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fresh treat to have so many indoor plants blooming. And, oh my, new growth on an orchid - this is your week! :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure is floriferous at your house. I remember that vase from when you've shared it before, it's so cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day :)
With all my plants in the house over the winter, I don't find room for bulbs, but enjoy seeing what others have. Wow, once they start budding, the blooms come quickly! They sure are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great weekend! I haven't been blogging much, either, and have lots of moving to do yet before the remodel. I am so excited!
I have the same problem with hyacinths as Mr.Shady has. Lovely to look at, and an encouraging sign of spring.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for commenting on my daugter's anime post. I love these hyacinths you forced. They must smell incredible! Happy vday
ReplyDeleteHi Cameron, I'm sorry Ii haven't been to visit you for some time. Wonder what's happened?? Hope you've enjoyed a great weekend and Valentine's Day! :-)
ReplyDeleteNellJean, This is my first experience, and yes. They are fun to watch! :-)
Hi Kathleen, Thanks for your note. I'm having fun with the hyacinths, and yes (!) am excited about the orchid. :-) YOU should be taking the photos, though!
Hi Liz, Hope you've been having a great weekend, and that you're feeling better!
Hi Kate, I spent a bit of time watching the woods in the backyard today... the huge snowflakes were beautiful! :-)
Garden Ms S, Thank you for visiting today! I see you have hyacinth in bloom, too. :-)
Hi Catherine, Thanks for your visit. YOU, on the other hand, are beginning to enjoy some outdoors... aren't you?
Hi Sue, I can well imagine you are excited about your kitchen remodel. Hope you enjoyed a nice weekend. Happy Valentine's Day!
Oh, Chris J. Thank you for your visit today. I'm sorry about your sensitive nose! I enjoyed a quick peek at your blogs. :-)
Rosey, It was my pleasure to comment to your daughter. What fun for her to write on your blog. :-) Yes, the hyacinths are very fragrant! I (me) love them! ;-)
Great photos, I particularly love the lst one, so funny, lady with a large flower on her hat!
ReplyDeleteHi catmint, I love this funny, little vase, too. And it reminds me of a very fun day. :-)
