Did you say you'd like to see a few photos of what my Dad and Mom do in their backyard?? Click on each photo to enlarge a bit. Dad's garden (veggies) is on the left. He also built the trellises for his climbing roses. (This year's weather has been a challenge for the roses. however.)
If I have a green thumb, it's been inherited! :-)
Nothing shady about this yard. Or the subject of this yard!
love your pics - over in England it seems strange that you call it a yard - was expecting leaking car engines and strewn bits of old furniture!
ReplyDeleteHi Shady - that's a garden to be proud of! No wonder you've got green fingers too :)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a large and lovely garden!
ReplyDeleteLovely garden. Kudos to your Mom and Dad. Your parents must spend a lot of time and get a lot of enjoyment from gardening to have such a pretty space. Inow see why you have the green thumb you have, so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Very sunny indeed and I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, and just look at those beautiful pink petunias!
ReplyDeleteI guess you must have inherited more than just the thumbs (lol)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, do I see a birdcage at the middle of the garden there??
Very nice Shady~I see all that sunshine and dream big dreams! gail
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden! I love all the bright pink flowers.
ReplyDeleteIs that their corn field behind the yard? What a nice view to have.
Catharine, When you mentioned Great Britain, I thought of Scotland Yard... ;-) Are you speaking of junkyards?
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, I was detoured yesterday from making comments here. I had to run over to your place to see what you've been doing. :-) Just waiting to see the finished tea house!
Monica, They're so well-organized! Gives me something to live up to. :-)
Hi Rosemary, They will enjoy reading these comments. As you know, gardening takes time, effort and love.
Hi Gardener, :-)
Darla, I love the petunias, too. They're so eye-catching. However, they must keep them trimmed so they're not in the way of the lawn mower!
James, Yes you see a birdcage. No bird, though. ha.
Hi Gail, :-)
Catherine, You're right. A very healthy cornfield at that. Usually there are a couple of rows of sweetcorn there, but I'm not sure that was planted this year. (My parents have always been able to enjoy some of the sweet corn!)
