ReplyDeleteI've never tried growing toad lilies. I don't have much shade, either. Yours sure are pretty. My September Charm anemones have about 2 blooms open so far. They should look like yours in a few days.

Shady, your garden is looking so good. So much still in flower. Love Anemones.. mine coming into flower...Cute litte whimsy with the chairs . Trout lilies add orchidlike beauty to the garden.

Rosemary, I've been reading about the amaranthus... do you eat the leaves (sounds like they're great!)? Do they grow 5' tall for you? I might like to try them in a 1/2 sunny spot! Thanks! Your seeds will be in the mail tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI like the toad lilies. The September Charms anemone look so attractive. I've debated about trying some of the fall blooming anemone, but I'm never sure if they would get much bloom time before things start getting too cold here. Do they bloom after the first frosts for you still?
