GGG Met at My House Today!

A little lemonaid, a few cookies, 11 gardeners and lots of conversation.  After beginning our summer "tour calendar" and a walk around my yard, we recessed to the garage and created concrete stepping stones.  :-)

I was so engrossed in mixing concrete, I forgot to take photos - until the end.  Here are a couple of stepping stones - curing in the garage.  :-)

Looks like an anniversary stone!  :-)

Fun times!

  1. Ooooh. Very nice. I wish I could have come too. What did you use for your form? I have used pizza boxes in the past.

  5. I'm sure it was lots of fun. The Spring Valley Garden Club came out to see my wildflower gardens last spring. Of course their were lots of questions and, naturally, I forgot the names of a few of my specimens.... :)

  7. I just made two of these with my grandchildren this week for our MG Idea Garden. But yours look so much neater and smoother! I'd love to read about how you created these and any tips you have.

  8. What fun! I have some broken pieces of this and that that I am saving to use in making some stepping stones whenever I get that done.

  9. First of all, answering Nellie, I use 10" clear plastic drip trays for using under pots. I spray them with a cheap vegetable spray.

    Darla, I'll see if I can't figure out a "how-to." ;-)

troutbirder, If I don't "use 'em" (plant names) I lose them, too!

Rose, I use Quickcrete "Mortar Mix" It's a sand mix that makes up very easily and is nice a smooth!
