Busy Time in the Front Yard Today!

First the feeders

and then the heated birdbath:

Bluejay

English Sparrow

Goldfinch

female Cardinal

female House Finch and Goldfinch

male Cardinal

Starlings (not "darlings")

I was trying to wash a few dishes at the kitchen sink.  However, the birds kept landing on the bird bath!  :-)

  1. Glad to see you posting again, Shady. And a wonderful collection of feeders and birdies. We were so glad to safely settle into Davenport last week after several days of battle through Kentucky and southern Illinois icy Interstates on our way home.

  2. Wow, you do have a lot of activity in your front yard! The birds have kept us entertained, too, the last couple of weeks. I don't have nearly the number of feeders you do, but they've still kept me busy keeping them filled. Our cats have appreciated the "bird television", too:)

  5. Rose, It was so much fun adding a post to my fairly inactive blog!! Yes, this winter has been a challenge in keeping the bird feeders filled - but what a show! :-) I don't have a cat, but someone "let one out" in the neighborhood. Some neighbors are caring for it, but he wandered over here yesterday... and I had to shoo him away! (He'd love my birds!)

  6. Thank you, Lee, for your visit! :-) We have had SUCH cold temperatures this winter... that in itself is a good reason to keep the feeders full!

Thank you for visiting today. I don't mean to make it hard for you to leave a message, but temporarily I am going to enable word verification. Too many spam messages to deal with lately. Thanks for your patience! SG
