"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
- Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time
Actually, it was March 1st and we
were visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo
in Omaha, Nebraska.
A great weekend family outing.
Everything and more about gardening in Shady's SE Iowa (USA) location.
A wonderful poem by one of America's finest poets, shady.
ReplyDeleteSeems to capture the scene, perfectly. And thanks for dropping by the old blogs! ... Deb

ReplyDeleteHi Deb, We were in Omaha, NE for the weekend. Somehow being absent for only a couple of days makes me feel as though I've missed a lot of activity!
