I've discovered evidence
that someone's taken residence
in my yard.
Ignoring them completely,
even if discretely,
will be hard.
This may be a conundrum,
surmising where they've come from
to my yard.
So if you happen to see them,
(assuming you'll not be them),
Here's my "card!"

I took the above photo from a doormat company site. Should you want to purchase it, the photo provides the link. I've never used this site. I know nothing about it. So, in other words I'm not recommending you try it... nor am I recommending you not try it.
I just didn't want to be "shady" (meaning underhanded).

I chuckled on this one. I just published my post on the visitors to my garden and how I welcome them. Then, I came to your post and see what you posted. Incredible. What a lovely coincident.
ReplyDeleteFunny stuff. Where did that door come from? :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I just discovered "Picks" at blotanical...slow learner.
Ha ha, that's great - I love the little gnome door! Where did you get it from? The poem made me smile too.
ReplyDeleteomg, Shady Gardener! That door is the cutest! I would consider moving the fairy abode to have one like it! Did you make it??
ReplyDeleteBlossom, I'll be right over! :-)

ReplyDeleteTerrific poem, Shady! A nice reminder for me to write one. I haven't done very well in that department lately;-( I love your new header...don't know how 'new' it is, since I haven't visited you in a while!!! Love the welcome mat idea...you really 'cleared' the air on the origins of it and your relationship (or lack thereof) with the manufacturer!! Hope you are well!!
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbie, Being outdoors again just puts a Spring in the Step, doesn't it? ;-)
ReplyDeleteJan, Thanks for the compliment. I think writing the poetry might come with Spring's welcome. :-) Talk about being Thankful!
I know, I haven't had time to visit much lately. These are beginning to be very busy days. I'm well and I hope you are, too!
Kathleen, We must have "crossed paths" as I was responding to these other posts! I just knew you'd love this little door. Check out Plow and Hearth. It has a hard copy and on-line catalog. :-)

ReplyDeleteI do hope you get to see who'll, along with the toad stool, moved into your garden. A sweet poem I must say, to welcome them into your garden today.
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine! Thanks, but I think you'd best be looking 'round your garden, too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMonica, I'd Never heard of these Fairy doors. What a riot! Can you tell more about them and how this began? (Plus, how do you put a link in a comment??)
Lisa, I'm glad you stopped to visit. I don't wonder that there may be an epilogue sometime... ;-)
I don't trust fairies. They always seem to be up to something. No, wait, sorry, that's the squirrels.
ReplyDeleteHi Shady, that is a sweet little door, your visitors will be thrilled with the quality of the construction! I imagine the little welcome mat, in miniature size of course, just inside. :-)
