Goodness you still have snow!! Just to make you envious we had a temperature today of 18C (64.4F) :)
Shady, I love your Iris collection on an earlier post, they are really beautiful and so colourful!
Thank you so much for the detailed info regarding Amaryllis, very helpful and I have made a note of it. Amazingly the one which only had the beginnings of a leaf now has a flower stem :)
We have a forecast of snow on Sunday and I'm hoping we get enough to cancel school. I need a snow day!!! I'm willing to expose my daffodils to snow if it means I can get some extra sleep! Great blog. :o)
Hi Shy, Our temps are still low and there's more snow forecast for tomorrow, but I'm sure we're in the last thros of Winter. By 3:00 p.m. today, this snow was gone!
I'm so glad your amaryllis bulb has a flower stem!! You'll have to post a photo. :-)
Those daffodils look cold out there in the snow. I hope we have seen the last of it here in Michigan.... at least the ice is off the lake. My daffodils are not up as tall as yours are.
How infuriating for you. Another layer of icing sugar over your plants.
I can remember how that made me feel in upstate NY. When everybody from home would write and tell me how lovely their flowers and gardens were :-(
So sorry. Please feel free to indulge in mine.
I am going crazy and bought a new greenhouse yesterday. Well, it was half-price, as it was the last of a line of wooden frame type greenhouse. I am not crazy about aluminium greenhouses.
That makes a total of four now. Himself was a touch peeved :-) but he'll come round when he realizes it is for fruit and veg. Already planted some potatoes for June salads. Looking to the future, as you can see :-)
I like your header picture - it gives such a sense of being there with you.
Hi Alice, Our snow is now gone. We may have a bit more in the forecast yet tomorrow, though. You know. It's still March. lol.
Hi Jo! This particular snowfall didn't last long. We may be in for another "dusting" again tomorrow, according the forecast. But it won't last long, either. It's still March... but Not For Long! :-) Will you post a photo of your new greenhouse? Veggies are a good idea. And yes, continue to look forward!
Hi Ginger, That's okay. It'll be warming here soon. :-) I hope to rake Monday.
Shady, We are almost getting some of that weather. Hard frost called for in the morning, hoping our blooming apples with still fruit. Spring is on the way my dear....
Hi Randy, I heard your forecast and was sorry about it. You are so much further into Spring! Hopefully your fruit trees aren't severely affected. Thanks for the encouraging note. I'm counting on warmer weather soon! :-)
Thank you for visiting today. I don't mean to make it hard for you to leave a message, but temporarily I am going to enable word verification. Too many spam messages to deal with lately. Thanks for your patience! SG

ReplyDeleteHi Patsi, I've heard about your snows. We will be SO happy, won't we, to have Spring arrive "for good?!" :-)
