Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Brings Five New Words!

Strike a Pose
Campanula glomerata 'Supurba' - Clustered Bellflower
Upward facing violet ‘bells’ on 1-2’ plants are clustered at the top of upright stems.  They need only a moderately rich, well-drained soil and full sun or partial shade  A vigorous grower, the stunning richly colored violet flowers are on stiff stems. Blooms heavily in late spring through early summer. Cutting back foliage by half to 2/3rds after flowering will keep the mound low and compact if foliage declines. Can be divided every 3-4 years in spring or autumn.

Footwear
These Eastland shoes lasted from 1982 to 2010.  Not bad!
They worked very well as nice, leather gardening shoes!

Shiny

January's Reflection...

Where go the days, the months?   And the years?
Now we've a new:  Two thousand and twelve.
What might we find here?

In looking for significance, within the year's fare . . .
What might we do to show others we care?

Might we be the difference - in the life of another:
A positive influence, a word, or a gesture?
It's a challenge we can offer ourselves, at the most.
It's a challenge I offer myself with this post.

     Friendship,        Fellowship,         Produce,        Care,
       Beauty,            Love,        Commitment,       Help,
                       Assistance,   Travel accommodations,
                                            etc., etc., etc.

Care to add to the list?
Best Wishes,
SG

She gets a lot of snow during a Winter season.

These are photos of her vegetable garden from July 2011.

One last Fun Look at some her beautiful lilies.
