W stands for Whale . . .

Whales lives in Water . . .

Water begins with

Speaking of Whales, do you remember "Simple Simon?"
Here's one stanza...

Simple Simon went a fishing

for to catch a WHALE!

But the only water he could find

was in his mother's pail.

Now that we've found ourselves discussing pails, and water, and fishing, and whales . . . consider the new little "pail" I've acquired in my backyard...

Perhaps you can tell their diminutive size by the oak leaf on the ground.

Their preference is dappled sunlight of woodlands, in a fertile loamy soil with abundant organic matter. This plant develops early and can resist moderate frost without damage.

The nectar of the flowers attracts long-tongued bees primarily, including bumblebees, Mason bees, Miner bees.

ABC Wednesday - S for Shed!

We spent the past few days with our daughter, son-in-law, and their family. Mr. Shady and S.I.L. worked so hard!!! They created a shed, from the ground up! Yes, the basic shed has been built, but there is quite a bit of finish work to be done: shingles, painting the pressed wood, covering with siding, etc., etc.
