Rain Dance!

We received 1 1/2" of rain yesterday!!  Friends in town reported only one inch.

The photos below show the best "panoramic" view I could get of the front just before it came to town.  I was parked at a restaurant near the new Goodwill store...

As a result, my three water barrels are full! :-)
This is the best I could do to show you WATER!
:-)
Happy Shady G!

Wonderful. Now we just got a light sprinkling last night. Please send some of that straight north. :)

Hooray for rain! I don't blame you for doing a rain dance. I'm sure your garden is loving it. Now it would just head southeast:)

Love all that FREE water! Beautiful, if not a bit ominous sky.

Shady,

Glad you got rain and filled the barrels. I know the floods from Irene are still ongoing right now. We barely got any rain from Irene. Today I found fried hostas and hydrangeas in the garden.

Nothing like a good rain to soak the garden! The sky pictures are really cool.

Rains from the sky didn't reach you well because they seem to be pouring here endlessly, and we had some floods and landslides. I did not watch news for 6 days while I am out of town chasing islands and waterfalls, and when we arrived last night the runways seem glistening with water! We left during a heavy downpour and arrived with the same condition. At least in your case you were able to fill the barrels. haha!

We're praying for rain around these parts, too. :)

Great news. We also got near two inches. My farmer friends report it was too late to help the corn already turned brown but the soybeans really appreciated it... :)

Hi Shady,
How've you been? I am behind as always, but enjoyed some gardening this evening. I guess my body's getting used to being back to work. Our temps are much cooler now, too.

I love your rain is coming sky photos. I clicked on one to see in larger. I'm glad you got a good soaking. We've been having rain off and on.

Hi Shady, so glad it rained just as you were getting discouraged. It's the future - you just can't predict it. Lovely grey moist photos. cheers, cm

Thank you all for your comments!! Troutbirder, I'm so happy you received Two(!) inches of rain!

I'm waiting for a little more (don't want to appear impatient or selfish) because some friends and I are going to work on a beautiful garden near a patient wing at our local hospital! I can hardly wait to begin!! :-)
