The idea for this bed was conceived during last Winter's Master Gardener class. I was able to take the reins (so to speak), by planning and organizing. It's coming together. Yesterday (Monday) was the First Big Step in tilling the dirt. Today a nice load of dry sheep manure was added. Measuring (and estimated cost) for very practical concrete edging was done, also.
My next assignment? Add a trellis today!
Workdays: Friday at 7:30 a.m., Saturday at 7:30 a.m., and Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Look out - it's going to be Great!!!
Nothing 'Shady' lurking about.... just me. :-)

Sounds like a great plan! Va-room! You go girl!
Thanks, Aerie-el! ;-)
Shady looking forward to seeing this new garden evolve......
I clicked on the link, Shady, but I guess I didn't read far enough to see where this project is taking place--is it at a school? Isn't it great when so many people come together to create a beautiful garden for others to enjoy? I'm looking forward to seeing how this project develops.
Hi Rosemary! :-)
Rose, I've not been tooo public about where it is... at least not until it's finished. Then I hope people can go to see it. (It's outside a patient wing at our local hospital!)
From somebody who has spent the last 10 years inside a hospital since I became a quadriplegic, I commend you for your efforts and look forward to seeing the results.
Patrick, I will work very hard to entertain you!!! :-) Can you find my e-mail address?
A "Shady" project that's for sure. But I'm sure it will work out great in the end. The weather this year on the other hand has, to say the least, not been very good.
troutbirder! Today we planted almost everything (everything we had!) and began mulching... and as soon as we stood to take a photo, it began to sprinkle! And now we're getting a nice, gentle rain. Oh, Thank You, Lord! :-)
