Way Down South in the Land of Cotton!

Good times there won't be forgotten!!

We spent a week in New Orleans recently... traveling with a tour.  Lots of fun!  And here...  cotton!  (These plants were spotted during our visit to Destrehan (historic) Plantation.)

What a beautiful plant and simple but elegant flower! I've never seen cotton plants in reality. Thank you!

It's quite a shock to us uneducated Northerners. Once on a fall trip in Mississippi I though fires were rampaging out of control and the field were burned after harvest....:)
