Bobbie, But now we're home and we're also happy about it! :-) It's Spring and things are "springing!"

Rosemary, Thanks!

Beautiful photos. The purple flower is a Salvia. I'm trying to get it going in my garden but with our wet winters, I fear it's a no go. The tall yellow flowered monstrosity :) is a yucca of some kind, I think.

The people behind the towering cactus really give perspective on how tall it really is.

Fun.

Grace, I'm so glad you visited. Thank you for the ID. It's really different from any salvia I see here! I'd say you're probably right on the yucca.

My husband would never have posed, had it not been for Denny! ;-)

Looks like so much fun. I think I would love the hummingbird aviary, I wonder if there are any around here. I'm usually bringing up the rear too on a hike, I get distracted by everything.

Hi Catherine, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one bringing up the rear! Sometimes, though, I should leave the camera behind... and get a little more mileage in! ha. :-)

Hi Shady, I loved this museum and the park! We were there in September a number of years ago...and boy was it hot! But those saguaro are incredible. (My dear, thanks for your incredible kindness...) gail

Lisa, We were! :-)

Gail, You are incredibly kind, too, I believe.

That's one large saguaro !!
Arizona sure is different from home. Enjoyed our trips there also.

Hi Patsi, "Arizona sure is different from home." THAT's the truth! :-)
Aren't we enjoying our Spring weather these days??

Hi Shady Gardener. I've just caught up on your Arizona trip posts. It looks like a wonderful time and great respite from the cold. I would LOVE to see a hummingbird sitting on a nest like in your photo. How incredible. That succulent-looking plant with the really TALL Yellow flower stalk looks amazing. I've never visited Arizona so I wouldn't know what these flowers are either. I'm glad you're back now and that it's spring in your garden. Have a good weekend.
PS. Our rain ended at 4 1/2" ~ I didn't dump the rain gauge, just left it and luckily it stopped before overflowing!

Aren't the saguaros amazing? I left a comment on your vacation blog--I'm ready to go back to AZ and see some of the sights you've mentioned here!

Kathleen, You would have taken gorgeous photos of the hummingbird in the nest! :-) We've had just enough rain this weekend. Perhaps if your weather turns nice and warm, you'll be able to sit outdoors and SEE things grow! ha.

Rose, They are amazing. I enjoyed YOUR post, too. :-)
