It was Frosty this morning... video added later!

NOPE!

I can wait for Frosty the Snowman's appearance!

But when I went outdoors to rake leaves this morning, I found it so beautiful outdoors!
Everything was frosted...

Please take the time to click on each of these three photos for a closeup of the frost. :-)

I think this is 'Trevi Fountain' pulmonaria...
looking towards 'Baby Blue.' (lungwort)

This is 'Purple Petticoats' Heuchera (coral bells).

And this is Sweet Woodruff.

While we wait for Frosty's appearance, you can actually watch my slideshow! :-)

It's getting less and less shady over here... the leaves are falling off the trees! ;-) I will probably have to wait until Saturday to do some raking, though. How is your November going? We are anticipating a few nice, sunny, warmish days!

I love your frosty photos...I say this over and over...but they are sugar frosted treats. (I have yet to step outside to see if we had our first frost as predicted.) Have a good weekend. Gail

The frosting enhances the shape of the leaves so well. Great photos!

Nice photos! I can wait for Frosty, my daughter sang the song Frosty the Snowman for 6 months after the show. That wouldn't have been too bad except that it was just the chorus repeated "Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy Soul!" and that was all! Over and over again.

I love the Heuchera, it looks fantastic, but I reckon that dipping the Sweet Woodruff in water and sugar is cheating! :0

Beautiful photos - I'm only jealous!
No frost here just rain, grey skies and more rain :(

Ooops, forgot to mention - again!, but yes please,I'd love a copy of the crazy quilt pattern.
Thanks for the offer:)

We had a hard frost overnight, too. Aren't sweet Woodruff, well, sweet?! Also like the frosted lady's mantle (right?) in your header. I have those two, plus pulmonaria, in my northern bed. :)

Beautiful!! Your Heuchera is delightful, such a stunning colour. Sweet Woodruff reminds me of snowflakes or stars. Lovely pictures. :)

I love the frosted leaves, so pretty! So far no frost here. Lots of wind and rain though. I'm anxious to get out and finish some planting and start raking, but the weather isn't looking too promising for now. Enjoy your nice November days!

Hi Joey, Thanks! Coming from you - that's a real compliment! :-)

Hi Patsi, Yes! I did get a new camera and I've been enjoying it (a lot)!

Hi Rosemary, I just couldn't resist taking the photos. I knew I was supposed to be raking, but... lol.

Hi Gail, Sugar Frosted is actually a great description! The little frost bits sparkle in the sun. It's so pretty!!

Hi Bobbie, I'm so thankful the weather has warmed a bit lately. We are supposed to have a few more nice days (I'm happy to think I may get some raking and Fall chores finished!)

Cameron, I took the photos, but I can take no credit for the subject of the photos! God's handiwork! :-)

Hi Dave! What a chuckle you gave me! I can envision her joyful rendition... and I understand how it might be a little wearing... but isn't it wonderful? :-) (A great memory for you to record.)

Liz, I've tried sugaring violets... perhaps it would be worth a try with Sweet Woodruff?? (Perhaps not actually eating them, however?)

I'm in the process of working up the pattern and instructions right now! :-)

Hi Monica! I enjoy sharing plants with you and others in our approximately same growing zones... I enjoy comparing notes. :-)

Hi Rebecca, Thanks! I love the compliments... but a lot is due my new camera. :-)

Hi Catherine, believe it or not, I'm actually very excited about the prospect of raking and doing yardwork tomorrow afternoon! Happy November to you, too.

I love your frosty Sweet Woodruff!

Great photos! I agree the frost does add a magical touch to all the leaves; I'm particularly fond of the heuchera all frosted. Looking forward to a couple of days in the 60's, even 70's this weekend! I have no excuse not to get a little gardening done this weekend:)

Thanks, Anonymous! :-)

Hi Rose, I like Gail's description - "sugar-coated." ;-) Enjoy your weekend!

I don't mind the frost, but I sure don't want to see any snowmen, regardless of name! Your frost photos are lovely. Heucheras show off frost so well. It's great that you still have a Toadlily in bloom. Mine are long gone. Sniff...

Hi MMD!! Thursday's frost was a beautiful diversion... thankfully there's been none since. This little Toady is very protected and was Very Slow in approaching bloom-time! (Do you remember my planting this variety a couple of years ago... and how infected some of the plants were? I'd thought I'd ripped them all out, but this fellow returned to grow and bloom two years later!) (And it looks good, don't you think??)

You did a great job capturing those frosted leaves Shady Gardener. I've never taken a frost photo, can you believe it? I enjoyed your video but my favorite photo is the one of the sweet woodruff. The frost is like a sugared edging to the leaves. Have a great weekend.

Hi SG~~ No frost here yet. I like how you're looking at the upside of the season. It might be cold, but it's beautiful.

Hi Kathleen! I'm so happy that you now have inspiration for more photos! :-)

Hi Grace, Our frost has come and gone. We had another wonderful, sunny day today... high in the low 70's. I was able to mulch almost all of my flower beds with piles of Oak Leaves! Now... to do some serious raking! :-)
