It takes me a week to recover from making the GBBD post and you are going strong again already.
Nice shots against the light with the outlook behind the flowers.

Hi Jo, I understand what you mean. You can tell, though, that I didn't work too hard at this post! ;-)

Thanks!

You've had Amaryllis' blooming all winter! You definitely have a green thumb :)

Hi Catherine, Green thumb or Dirty thumb? ;-) Thanks for visiting.

Hi again Shady! Love the orchid bloom. They are the only house plants I 'do'. They seem to thrive in my neglect ;-)

Lovely, Shady! But just as lovely are all the blooms outdoors on your Bloom Day post. I want to thank you for showing the white crabapple 'Sargentii.' I have one with blooms just like this, and I'd always wondered what variety it was. It blooms more profusely than any of the red or pink varieties we have, and it's become one of my favorite spring trees. The poem is perfect for spring!

Your garden is looking very spiffy, dear Shady, and your Sunday blooms, cheery! I must always, year round, have an orchid in bloom ... thank goodness for Costco that seems to always have them in when I'm in need of an 'orchid fix' :)

Yay, an amaryllis in bloom! I thought I might not see another until winter. Your orchid is gorgeous too.
I just took a look back thru your bloom day post as well. Wow. Spring has sprung there. So many blooms this month. My favorite had to be the ginger. I don't grow that ~ the flowers are so unusual looking. The tiarella is gorgeous too.
ps. I actually moved the Virginia bluebells last week ~ where they will get a touch more sun. They were actually planted in almost total shade. They seemed to have responded well to the move and are back to growing (and are green now ~ instead of purple). Can't wait until they bloom!!

extraordinary for to see this crimson amaryllis as an indoor plant. It looks like an whole indoor garden, with the geranium in the background.

I love your indoor goodies but must say your header photo is even yummier. Happy spring!

Shirl, I don't know what I'm doing with regard to the orchid, but it seems to be doing well despite me! ;-)

Hi Gail - I won't tell a soul! ;-)

Rose, You're right. This tree outdoes itself every Spring. We had one at our other home and I was afraid it would die promptly after its blooms were spent. It would be SO loaded with blossoms! ;-) (That is the reason I wanted one here.)

Joey, It seems that a person sees orchids more often these days... which is very nice. There are some beauties "out there!" :-)

Kathleen, I'd just about given up on my amaryllis bulbs! ha. Keep me posted as to the VBB progress!
Do you have tiarella? They are just the greatest early shade plant! You would really like them. Their clump grows just a little larger every year. :-)

Hi Kate, It's a wonder - things are blooming everywhere! :-) Happy spring!!

Catmint, all my plants are "serving time" outdoors until they are acclimated to being there... AND until we are truly out of the woods (figuratively speaking! ha) when it comes to the threat of cold/freezing temperatures!

Hi Grace, This is such a happy season, is it not? Thanks for the compliment on the header photo. Just a little Spring Beauty "showing off!" ;-)

Those are gorgeous! I just got home from a training session at a kitchen/outreach center where I lead a team 4 times a year in fixing supper. They had to move because of the city making changes to a flood area, and they didn't want it there any more. That part wasn't publicized that I know of. They did need a larger space, and that's the reason that was given to the public for them moving. They are still in the process of raising money to pay for the addition to the old library they moved into. Anyway, it's beautiful, and they have live plants all over the place, including a variety of orchids and other blooming ones. Your orchid made me think of that. I think they had some amaryllis, too.

I hope your spring is going well.

Hi Sue, That sounds like a wonderful endeavor in which to be involved. Good for You! :-) Aren't you loving this Spring weather? We are to get some rain tonight. We actually need it!
