C - Stands for Color!
I'm going to combine Mrs. Nesbitt's ABC meme today with that of
Rebecca author of In the Garden
who issued an invitation to participate in a Colorful Meme entitled "A Rainbow Invitation!" I wanted to share some of the color I enjoyed this past year in my gardens. :-)) I have to laugh! I got "stuck" in the photos taken one day... last May 4, 2009!I'm going to combine Mrs. Nesbitt's ABC meme today with that of
Rebecca author of In the Garden
Here's my Spring Rainbow!
That was fun! Thanks, Rebecca! :-)
If you'd like to participate (or see who's participating) in the ABC meme and/or the Rainbow meme... click on either of the links at the top of this post.

I really enjoyed your rainbow of color this morning. We had more snow last night, and two more storms promised within the next week.
The colors... the birdy! ALL THE THINGS I LOVE!
By the way... I moved... will you come visit me?

What a stunning array of blooms, the kight pink tulip make my heart sing! How clever of you to combine the 2 memes, and interesting coincidence that the date of the pics is remarkably close to my birthday. Lovely quote as well. Thanks so much for your great post. :) Rebecca
Great rainbow photos, SG. The speckled Hellebore is amazing.
Just when I was commending myself on my remarkable restraint this year, you have to post a shot of Heucherella 'Strike It Rich Gold,' which I've never seen before, but now have to have.
Hi Bobbie, It seems that most of our snow is gone now (except for the little drifts), but I'm sure we'll have more... :-) I'm so glad you stopped by today.
Hi Bren, Of course I'll be by. I'll have to make the necessary changes. :-) (Glad you enjoyed my post!)
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for leaving such a nice comment! Makes my day! :-) I'm terrible about remembering birthdays... hopefully you'll remind me? (I'll be celebrating my 3rd year of blogging in May.)
Hi Grace, Doesn't this happen to you: Taking so many pictures that you don't have time to use them? They came in valuable for this post though. :-) Thanks for stopping by!
MMD, You will love this little Heucherella! It stays quite small (for me) but so healthy. And sweet. Glad I could help you on your "wish list." ;-)
Seeing that Spring rainbow makes me excited to see tulips and other spring bloomers that aren't that far away!
I enjoyed your post and your blog. This is my first visit. I like your title and I bet YOUR neighbors are saying that everything grows better in your yard. Pretty garden!
Hi Catherine, That's exactly how I felt when I was finished with this and the previous post. However, I have just a bit of time to wait yet... probably a good thing! :-)
Hi Amy, Thanks for your visit and for your kind comments. :-)
Goodness, Shady ... what a stunning post! I'm impressed with the beautiful parade of color.
Hi Joey! What I can't get over is that I took photos of all these Spring beauties in one day! And it seems like so long ago. (Does that mean I'm getting a little more ready for Spring?) :-)
I am going to go back through the photos a couple of more times, they were all so pretty! I can't wait until we can see those growing in our gardens! Just got your note...will be back Friday! You've been a busy bee;-)
Hi Jan! I know what you mean about looking forward to seeing flowers outdoors again - but I don't think I've been busier than you!! :-)
oops! kight pink = light pink lol
Oh makes me get excited to think of the season to come....
Ah, just what I needed this grey morning...a flowery spring rainbow to remind me that spring will eventually show up here.
Rebecca - :-)
Thanks, Rosemary! Me, too... ;-)
Hi Jodi, Spring is moving nearer. I'm looking forward to it, too. :-)
Hi Shady, thanks for cheering me up on a snowy, grey cold winter's evening. It was just what I needed after a few days abed with a bad cold. Thanks :)
Hi Liz, Hope you're feeling better. :-) Glad you could to visit!
Oh, I just love all of your beautiful flowers, but the flowers in the second picture are absolutely my favorite. I cannot wait to see you garden this coming May!
Shady~~That was a beautiful rainbow and much needed today on a very cold and damp day in Middle TN! The pulmonaria is enchanting. gail
How beautiful Shady Gardener! I love that you created your rainbow with all spring bloomers. Hopefully it won't be long before we can actually see them. :-)
Hi Noelle, The Bleeding Hearts (Dicentra) are lovely. :-) I planted a new-to-me variety 'Gold Heart' last year... hopefully it likes its new home and provides the bright foliage for the shade and adds those pretty heart-shaped flowers, too!
Hi Gail, Did you like the pussy-toes? They're under the dicentra. It's a native plant that's growing in my yard. :-) The flowers are actually very tiny - about the size of the fingernail on my pinky.
Kathleen, I'm beginning to be ready for Spring. It's snowing again today. We already have a good inch and the forecast states "up to 4 inches." Wellll... it's only the first part of February... :-)
I've been bouncing all over the place through one garden blog which links to another garden blog and so on... nice blog and nice colorful post to bright up a very grey day!
Hi Jess! I've done this and gotten lost! ;-) I'm happy you visited... if you can find your way back, come again! ha.
beautiful photos and love the quote! Thanks for sharing!
Grandgardener, I'm glad you visited. :-)
