ABC Wednesday - N is for Nursery

Below

Big Box Store items, for the most part, just waiting to get outdoors.
I hadn't put them out yet, because the weather turned cold again.

3 'Little Missy' Hemerocallis, 3 'Final Touch' Hemerocallis, 2 pink fernleaf Bleeding Heart, 3 Peruvian Daffodils' Ismene (not hardy here), Clematis 'City of Lion,' 25 Liatris, some calla lilies, rain lilies and, of course, you see the amaryllis bulbs! ;-) I think it's supposed to begin warming yet this week!

They're young.
I'm going to plant a few here and share a few others.
(Esp. the liatris!)

chubskulit, Thanks.

Hi Roger, I'm fortunate to have the good light downstairs. :-)

I've got a window chocked full of seedlings, too. I tried to be disciplined, and started them later, but now spring is coming later and they are taking over!

I noticed your Seattle Fling badge on the side bar. Are you going? I'm on the fence... :)

We're having a very cold spring here, too, so have not even been able to mow the lawn yet! Too wet.

I have a lot to do in my back yard, as we have a BBQ planned in a couple of weeks.

So, I better get to planting!!!

Shady lots of babies in the nursery! Hopefully the weather will improve soon.... cold here too.

It looks like you are going to be busy planting all those out Shady!

I loved the Daffodils on the last post and of course ;) seeing all the pretty little birds on the feeders. Most of our Daffodils are over already due to the unusually warm weather we have been experiencing here in the UK!

Your African Violet is looking lovely too :)

I can definitely relate. We got about 5 inches. So much for "spring" gardening.

I hope you are able to get out and plant your "babies" soon.

I don't even know what a rain lily is. Gotta go look that up. :)

I hope that you have success with your veggie patch as well.

Hi Wanda, I'm not sure I could plan a BBQ right now... of course, we'd eat indoors! ;-) Thanks for visiting!

Rosemary, And definitely for you, too!!

Hi Shy, Once our weather turns warm outdoors, the planting will be a pleasure! Too bad I haven't a close-up of the goldfinches to show you!!

Rosey, Rain lilies are the neatest little plant! Find a sweet pot or planter for them. Take them outdoors when it's warm The rain will energize the little bulbs and the narrow strips of leaves will appear. My variety are the original pinks. They will bloom a lot over the summer. :-) They are not hardy, so I take them indoors in late Fall and let they dry out in a cool, dark place until Spring.

Neat little nursery. I have a few sprouts of green indoors - it snowed again today. These little things may never get outside. :)

Troutbirder, I've seen your snow. Amazing! We had some hail near here (within a mile!) that looked like drifts!

Hi Tumblewords, Gardeners "go with the flow!" ;-) Thanks for your visit. I'm sure we'll both be planting outdoors before long.

I have a bay window full of seedlings. I've planted some things out this week (it's been 70*+ here !) and I've just potted up a load more veg and flower seeds this morning.
I NEED a cold frame :)
Happy Easter!

Cute little babies in your nursery, Shady! I'm waiting, too, for warmer temps to plant, but even more for the soil to dry out--looks like it's going to rain here for the next week!

Hi Liz, I'm sorry I haven't been to visit lately. I'm glad you're getting ready to be planting!

Hi Rose, It's been cold and rainy here, too. I'm not home at this time, but I think when I get thre, I'll be planting!! :-)
