Spring Is

Garden Bloggers' Muse Day
visit Sweet Home and Garden Chicago

Spring Is

Spring is when the morning sputters like
bacon
and
your
sneakers
run
down
the
stairs
so fast you can hardly keep up with them
and
spring is when
your scrambled eggs
jump
off
the
plate
and turn into a million daffodils
trembling in the sunshine.

by Bobbi KatzThese flowers were taken in my Spring Garden...

...last year about this time!

April Fool!

There are very promising plants beginning to grow right now, though. ;-)

Very fun poem for GBMD! It looks and feels like Spring here today.

I've always loved that poem - it's so fun. Soon your daffodils will look like the photos.

That is a great poem! I've never seen it before, which makes it even better still!

Hope your daffodils get to trembling soon. The snowdrops are up in my garden, and I see lots of daffodils poking their noses up through the dirt.

J, Thanks for visiting. You have quite a landscaping job going over there! :-)

The "sneakers running down the stairs" line reminds me of Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine when he has a long riff about the pair of brand new sneakers he put on at age 10 on the first day of seemingly endless summer vacation from school - heavenly.

Thanks for your visit, everyone!

Deb, What are you seeing these days? I've returned from the Conference in Des Moines and I'm very excited to rake and take notes tomorrow!

Hi Gail, I think before very many more days pass, I SHALL have some daffodils blooming. There are quite a number of early ones with buds! :-)

Weeping, I'm not familiar with Ray Bradbury. Looks as though I'd best become familiar.
