Please know you are not alone in this (thumbs down) autumn, Shady! Jose Feliciano singing 'Listen to the falling rain ... ' runs through my head looking at my garden of neglect!
You know, I wish I had a dollar for every time I sang that song over the last couple weeks!
This is a song we've been singing for the past 4 months! YIKES! I hope it's not a predictor of the winter that is coming up.

We had a lot of rain yesterday, just poured. It does get old after awhile doesn't it? :)
We gardeners are a grumpy lot:
We grouch when there's no rain, too much rain, the wrong rain, rain at the wrong time...
Worse than farmers:-)
The sky is full of holes,
that's how the rain gets in....
but these holes are small,
that's why rain's so thin!!!
Catherine, It does get old, and I try not to complain... but today is another day! The forecast was to be no precip (at least that's what it said a couple of days ago) for the next couple of days. So I purchased a pickup load of mulch and have begun working again! yea! :-)
Joco, I guess I was complaining. Sorry. I'm much better today... we even had a few minutes of sunshine! :-)

THere are many people that can relate to this poem Shady. I have heard the rain lament from many today at work.
Lisa, Just going from blog to blog shows also that the rain is widespread. I admit I've been a little "down," but I hope I haven't been too grumpy, lately!
